I am extremely humbled and honored to join Columbia Springs as the new Executive Director. I want to thank the Board of Directors for the opportunity to lead this incredible mission that is a cause close to my heart.
I also want to acknowledge Maureen Montague. I am very grateful to get to know the organization through her passionate lens. The love that Maureen has for Columbia Springs is contagious. Following in Maureen’s shoes will not be easy, but with your continued input, participation, and support, we can be assured of the bright future for our organization.
Prior to joining Columbia Springs, I had the privilege of working for the Sandy River Watershed Council as Development Director. My professional experience also includes positions in finance and office management, watershed restoration project management, and grant writing. I have a strong drive to give back to my community and have been volunteering to improve the environment for the enjoyment of all since I was a young child. I have participated in a wide range of volunteering activities that have strengthened my love for the outdoors, from salmonid redd surveys with Oregon Trout to planting native trees and shrubs with Friends of Trees. I am currently a volunteer with the Friends of the Sandy River Delta.
Columbia Springs is a place that I have been dreaming to be a part of since I first started working in the environmental arena. I am excited to steward a location that enables people to develop life long, personal connections with nature. Building on a strong legacy, I am committed to growing our relationships with community and corporate leaders to sustain, diversify and expand our impact in Clark County.
Best wishes,
Katherine Cory, Executive Director
