We currently have a phenomenal intern named Madison, who is working with Jenna, our Education Coordinator, on learning how to lead field trips and develop learning materials. In the fall of 2018, she worked with Mason, our Volunteer Manager, to update our Invasive Species Management Plan and helped develop a web based tool to track our progress.
She has since decided to develop a scientific research poster to present how she developed the plan, it’s impacts, and our expectations for how it will help us manage Columbia Springs. She presented the poster at a high-level undergraduate research conference in Montana. She just got accepted to another internship in Boise, Idaho, to continue working with ecological land management. We are very excited for her!
