Columbia Springs would like to thank Clark County Public Health for presenting the Clark County Green Awards in 2019. We are honored to be the recipient of the first Green Business Award for nonprofits and government agencies. For nearly twenty years, Columbia Springs has been a leader in environmental education in Southwest Washington. This recognition of our work means the world to us!
Some of the ways Columbia Springs creates a culture of sustainability in our work place is to encourage recycling of curbside items as well as larger items and materials that require special disposal. We also incorporate our Repair Clark County services for fixing and reusing items into our daily operations. Teaching 19,000 people a year about stewardship and sustainability is probably the longest lasting impact Columbia Springs makes to environmentalism in Clark County.

The beautiful awards were made by artist Denise Bergman, owner of Ironbender, a vendor at the Recycled Arts Festival.
